Facebook Founders Donate To Legalise Marijuana Movement While Banning Pro Weed Ads

by | 11th, October 2010

FACEBOOK is not anti-legalised marijuana. Not a bit of it. Facebook co-founders, and pals of CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Sean Parker and Dustin Moskovitz have given $170,000 to help California’s Proposition 19 legalize marijuana in that state.

(These are great days for Parker who gets to be played by Justin Timberlake in The Social Network. Said Timberlake: “I remember the first time it was reported that I smoked pot. I was like, y’all don’t?” )

It’s not a huge amount of money. And if weed is legalised then legal pot growers will surely advertise on Facebook.

Not too long ago Facebook banned ads by pot-campaigners Just Say Now. What changed..?
