Stephen Griffiths: Back In Court For His Masters In Madness

by | 15th, October 2010

STEPHEN Griffiths the Crossbow Killer is back in the news. He’s in Bradford Crown Court. Griffiths will be tried on December 21st at Leeds Crown Court.

The Telegraph bills him as a “Criminology student”.

Griffiths is accused of murdering three women who lived and worked in Bradford: Suzanne Blamires, Shelley Armitage and Susan Rushworth.

The Telegraph’s court reporters seems to be obsessed with Griffith’s academic education:

The psychology graduate, who was undertaking postgraduate research in criminology at Bradford University…

Griffiths attended the private Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield in his teens before studying at Leeds and Bradford Universities…

How many O’Levels? A-levels?

The Telegraph & Argus is also interested in Griffiths’ qualifications:

Stephen Griffiths, the Bradford criminology student who is accused of murdering three women in the city, made a further appearance at Bradford Crown Court today.

Odd, isn’t it. When a white man commits the mainstream media likes to tell us what he does for a living. If he is Muslim, Jewish the religion is mentioned. If he has any foreign blood we are told where he or his parents came from.

Does any of it matter? You can only hope the background does not matter to the judiciary who must try the alleged woman killer. Justice, they say, is blind. The media is merely blinkered…
