Woman Picks Up Own Head In Hands After Horrific Accident: Headless Horsewoman Rides

THEA Maxfield, a 26-year-old Briton, fell off her horse and broke her neck. The horse bucked and Maxfield ended up with a “hangman’s fracture” – a clean break of her upper cervical vertebra.

“I had to literally pick my head up and carry it in my hands. I didn’t have much hope of a recovery.”
