Heidi The Cross-Eyed Possum Wows Leipzig Zoo

TO Leipzig Zoo, where Heidi the Virginia cross-eyed opossum is wowing the crowds. Ever since Knut the polar bear became a killing machine, Germany has been waiting for its next pet love. And Heidi, who hails from the US state of North Carolina, is it.
You can now buy a stuffed Heidi for your home. Says Dr. Helmut Schache, of the toy manufacturer Kösen:
“It really is surprising how famous and loved she is – I guess it has to do with being cross-eyed.”
Clarence, the Cross-Eyed Lion might nod.
