Jared Loughner And Cho Seung-hui: Guns Saved Arizona From Another Virginia Tech

by | 11th, January 2011

JARED Loughner: Arizona is ok with guns. Guns secure liberty by giving the citizen power. Why should only the police have guns? Had there been more guns at Virginia Tech when Cho Seung-hui used two guns – a Walther .22 semi-automatic and a Glock 9mm semi-automatic pistol, a rapid-fire weapon that is available only to police in virtually every other country but which can legally be bought over the counter in thousands of gun-shops in America – would he have been able to kill 32 people?

If Liviu Librescu had had a gun, would he have been a more effective hero?

When Cho murdered, stalking the corridors and reloading his weapons, Virginia Tech had a general ban on possession or storage of firearms on campus by employees, students, and volunteers, or any visitor or other third parties, even if they are concealed handgun permit holders.

In American there is a need for having guns available to law-abiding citizens.

Is Britain’s experiment with gun-free living a success?

Now to Arizona, where Gabrielle Giffords, shot in the head by Jared Loughner, once said in May 2010:

In my district and in my state, we have a very strong gun culture. I own a gun, members of my family own guns.

Now. Who to blame..?
