Skins: Less Sex, Drugs And Facebook

by | 19th, January 2011

SKINS is a great show because the stars are vapid, vindictive, shaggable, insecure and hateful. It works because it tries not to talk to the youth and be down with the cool kids – who are all busy happy slapping their peers on Facebook and getting off their face on meow meow to care about telly (source: daily Mail) – but just entertains.

And if the cool kids are watching it they are doing so because they hate it and pity and any adult who thinks they might like it.

One things Skins does it to regenerate. And each season the staff get less fnaciable. When Grange Hill started it had Tucker in leathers. By the time it ended, the school you mum and dad loved to hate was a haven for Walter Softy’s mates keen to getting an actual education.

The new cast of Skins are Sean Teale, Senastian De Souza, Dakote Blue Richards, Jessica Sula, Freya Mayor, Alex Arnold, Laya Lewis and Will Merrick. Look out for one of them in EastEnders one day…
