Britain’s Armchair Islamists Want Sharia Law In Egypt: Photos Of Unified Intolerance
BRITAIN is a great place to live. Outside the Egyptian embassy in central London, Islamists who want to reject the laws of this land and set up Sharia law here and in Egypt quote passages from the Koran and scream and shout for change. Around them a Stop the War group hold a demonstration to display their solidarity with the Egyptian peoples – the ones who don’t want Sharia law or the ones that do?
Meanwhile, a Western woman up in Edinburgh for the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign cheers on those who want to overthrow Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and on the same placard calls for “Freedom for Palestine”. Freedom from what? The Israelis? The Islamists? Outside interference?
Not too far away in Luton, The EDL are screaming and shouting for no Sharia law and no Islamic influence in the UK. They want England not to change. They also want us to support British troops creating change in foreign countries.
Britain is a land of contradictory views that can all be heard. Makes you proud – even if the cry that unites these opposed groups of self-styled freedom-fighters is: “We want intolerance an we want it now…”
