Sick Teen Banned From School For Taking Prescription Marijuana At Home

by | 9th, February 2011

IN Colorado Springs a teenager has been banned from attending school on the day he consumes a THC lozenge that controls his diaphragmatic and axial myoclonus, a neurological disorder. The drug is prescribed by his doctor.

Tetrahydrocannabinol is the the active chemical in cannabis.

The THC works better than all other drugs he’s been administered.
The school says that because the THC is inside the student’s body during school time he is guilty of “internal possession” of marijuana, a banned substance.

He has been forced to change schools to one closer to his home. This means he can walk home to take his meds when – get this – he’s experiencing a severe attack.

Says the boy’s father says the youth sprained his ankle and was prescribed vicodin for the pain:

“I called the school to see if he could come to school after taking vicodin and they said that was no problem even though the vicodin affects his mental state way more than the THC.”

The war on marijuana defies logic…
