President Hosni Mubarak Stays: Egypt Holidaymakers Don’t Care

by | 10th, February 2011

TO Egyptian, where President Hosni Mubarak is till President President Hosni Mubarak. He won’t run for re-re-re (etc.) election in September but he will stay on until then.

Vice President Omar Suleiman – aka Ama Sillyman  – is backing the Pres.

The Guardian’s Matt Wells reports:

There is a feeling that people want to get on the move now. I can hear this chant: “We’ll go to the palace and tear him out.”

The media is full of Egypt. It’s on the front page of pretty much every serious newspaper. But how serious is it for us in the UK? You can still fly to Egypt on your holiday and get lashed on booze.

Is Egypt important for the world because the media says it is? The media loves news and until Katie Price shags Prince Harry, Egypt is the news. And will the editors stick with the story throughout the hot summer months?
