Kate Middleton And Prince William’s Wedding Menu: Sausage Tolls And Fergie’s Cakes

by | 8th, March 2011

THANKS to chef Darren McGrady’s interview in Hello!, we know that for Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s wedding, he prepared “lobster, lamb and strawberries and cream”.

(And that was just for Fergie’s massage.)

For Kate and William’s wedding, Darren says there will be 20 chefs, kitchen porters from “F branch” (Food branch) and footmen working as waiters from “G branch” (General branch).

As for the nibbles:

“The Royals love sausage rolls – not the huge Ginster-type things but the little two-bite pieces – small croque monsieurs and maybe fish goujons.”

Also to note:

“The Queen is not heavily into garlic. But she does love chocolate…”

At dinner, guests will be served off white china plates with a gold rim and EIIR stamped on them.

As for the wedding cake?

“…anybody can make a wedding cake – Prince Andrew had about 40.”

If you don’t believe him, check Fergie’s handbag, allegedly…

The Major had been battling against prostate cancer since 1996 and had suffered a series of heart attacks. The Duchess, who was said to be 'grieving', was on her way to Australia when her father died in The Hampshire Clinic, Basingstoke, close to the family home at Dummer.
