The March For The Alternative Protest Preserves The Police

by | 30th, March 2011

THE i leads with an “Imbalance of justice”:

“138 peaceful protestors charged over Fortnum & Mason sit-in”

“11 rioters charged over West End rampage.”

Might this because it was easier to capture the people sat among the preserves in the charity-loving store than it was to get the masked hoodlums running amuck?

And might it also be because the police will arrest more of the smasher-uppers in the days and weeks to come. Justice is not imbalanced – it’s just got a heavy load to lift.

Of course, the more lively March for The Alternative campaigners did help the cause of some union members: the police can point to the mob and say they need more cash to control them.
