Is The Trowbridge Kebab The Greatest Ever Local News Story?

by | 30th, March 2011

DO you know the thieves who stole an 18kg frozen kebab from La Capricciosa, by Trowbridge railway station.

Says the BBC, tops for local news and news that matters:

The “massive block of meat” has a metal skewer running through the centre…

The haul, valued at about £400, included bags of frozen chips and onion rings and 500 polystyrene kebab trays.

So:

Anyone offered kebab meat in suspicious circumstances is asked to contact British Transport police.

Have you been offered suspicious looking kebab? Is there any other kind? Can you buy a non suspicious looking kebab?

The police statement is the stuff of legend. Det Sgt Jon Rawson appeals:

“If you are aware of anyone who has recently come into possession of kebab meat, or may perhaps be offering kebabs for sale when they are not usually in that line of business, we would appreciate your call.”

Does anyone who sells kebabs consider it their main line of business..?
