Policeman Killed In Omagh: Mass Murder Revisited

IN Omagh, County Tyrone, a place synonymous with sectarian extremism and mass murder, a policeman called Ronan Kerr – a 25-year-old Roman Catholic – has been killed in an under car booby trap explosion.

In August 1998 a Real IRA car bomb killed 29 people – not including two unborn children. It was the single biggest loss of life during 35 years of the Troubles.

The police have issued this poster identifying the vehicle which contained the bomb that exploded in Omagh last Saturday (15th August) claiming the lives of of 28 and injuring over 200. PA Photos.
