Fugees To Reform To Remind Us How Few Hits They Actually Had

RUMOURS are floating around some imagined pop ether, noting that the Fugees may be reuniting to peddle out old hits and remind us how irritating Wyclef Jean is, how mental Lauren Hill has become and just who Pras Michel is at all.

This is the first time a reunion has been suggested, but this time, producer Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis is weighing in, saying that they may be getting back together.

Why should we trust someone called Duplessis?

Well, he produced a buncha tracks on their famous LP, ‘The Score‘ which basically, means squat. Either way, he’s chipping in and desperate for attention.

He says:

“I believe there will be a day when the Fugees get together, but everyone in the group’s gotta’ be ready. The Fugees are definitely going to get back together. The time will come. You’ve gotta wait, man.”

Alas, all this came about because Wonda made an April Fool out of everyone by stating that he was in the studio with the three Fugees, which saw everyone wanting to know more.

“In my studio, I was getting crazy phone calls and mad emails. My Twitter was going heavy. People all over the globe were saying, ‘Is it true? We really want the Fugees!'”

“Lauryn was getting phone calls. Wyclef was getting phone calls. Pras was getting phone calls. I felt that if tickets had gone on sale, it would have been sold out in two hours–globally.”

The chances of a reunion are slim though. Wyclef obviously fancies himself as a Bono character, focusing on politics and charity rather than his spectacularly average musical output.

He also, some years ago, criticized Lauren Hill for holding things up and calling her “mentally ill“.

Either way, the world doesn’t need a Fugee reunion because all anyone would actually like to hear is Lauren Hill performing her debut solo LP again, with maybe a couple of Fugee tracks thrown in.

Meanwhile, Pras continues to twiddle his thumbs and constant press ‘refresh’ on a Google search of his own name, silently sobbing into his big, shovel like hands.
