Royal Wedding Photos: Bucklebury’s Olympic Ducks, Morris Men And ‘Village Kate’

TO Bucklebury, Berkshire, for the inaugural running of the Princess Catherine (Formerly Kate Middleton) Stakes Duck Race. This will finally put duck racing on the map. But the big question: is it to late for duck racing to be an Olympic sport in London 2012?

Also at large in Bucklebury, place of Kate’s family home, were the Kennet morris dancers, dewey-eyed locals, a version of the Queen, seemingly played by the late, great Irene Handl, and the BBC reporter who asked one partier:

“Is this still your Kate? Is she still the village Kate.”

The local answered to the affirmative. Princess Kate was still village Kate. Only, her new home is the size of mid-sized village and she no longer points at aircraft (unless she’s working in an official capacity, natch.)…
