HOW do you talk about Osama Bin Laden to those people born after 9/11? The Melbourne Age has  advice:

Parents can comfort children who are disturbed by the killing of Osama bin Laden by answering their questions honestly, psychology experts say.

Arizona’s KSWT:

“Also making sure that life goes on and homework is important so we need to do our homework,” Colsch said.  “and that we need to get ready to practice for soccer…and life goes on.”

In Salt Lake City:

“If you think of a 6-year-old, they are going to have a short attention span. So, you can give them a really brief answer. They certainly don’t need an in-depth answer,” Giles says.

In Cincinnati:

Experts say it’s normal for children to feel confused, upset or anxious about news stories that pertain to war and terrorism.

The experts are out in force. But let’s try their advice:

Child: If a mass murderer says he is going to kill me and all my family what should I do, mummy?

Mum: Well, I’d advise shooting him…
