Golfer Hit Fox That Stole His Tunnocks Caramel Wafer

NEW ways to kill foxes: Donald Forbes’s Golf Club.

Forbes, a 55-year-old golfer at the Peterculter Golf Club, Aberdeen, used a club (unspecified, but believed to be a driver. What club would you use?) to strike a fox that stole a Tunnocks Caramel Wafer from his golf bag. Forbes hit it on the head. Another golfer, seeing the striken animal was refusing to die quickly, finished it off.

At Aberdeen Sheriff Court, Sheriff Annella Cowan tells Forbes:

“My understanding was you had seen it, you became annoyed with it going for your chocolate biscuit, you hit it on the head with your driver. You did it deliberately. I am satisfied you are guilty of this offence.”

Forbes is fined £750 and ordered forfeiture of Forbes’ driver.

As a result, any fox may in future be killed by an iron or an Evening With Peter Alliss
