Snoop Dogg Wants Hip Hop X Factor
WHILE The X Factor appears to be set to take over the world, everyone else looks on wondering if they should cut their ears off with shears or, indeed, invent their own version which speaks to them instead of putting up with the histrionics of wannabes yet to learn subtlety.
And with that, Snoop Dogg wants to do a rap take on the successful franchise.
At a press conference, Snoop said that he wanted make a…
‘straight to the hood version’ of the X Factor, naming it ‘Snoop Factor’.
”X Factor is great but I need to do a show that goes straight to the hood. I want to find that raw untamed talent that hasn’t been dressed up all nice for the TV. Any TV companies want to help me, then they know where I am”
So what might Snoop Factor entail?
Well, obviously, there’d be scrutinising of lyrical flow, inventive use of pop-culture references and command of the stage. However, there’s more to hip hop than that. Would there be a bling-off where battling rappers would see who can outdo the other with their display of gaudy jewels and gold plated teeth grills?
Of course, this being Snoop, he’ll invariably want to see who can roll the fattest blunt or who can objectify women the most, so maybe there should be a Stoner Bitchez corner of all broadcasts?
Or maybe he’d usher in a new Daisy Age, finding the next De La Soul? (yyyyyyyyyeeeeaaaaahh rrrrrriiiiiiiiight)
