Imogen Thomas Wants To Protect Her Kids: Oh, The Irony

by | 26th, May 2011

THREE papers are sticking with Ryan Giggs. The Star says Thomas is off to see her lawyer. And, no, that’s not because she’s sleeping with him. The Mirror leads with (HE’S STILL MY MAN”). It’s Stacey Cooke, aka Mrs Giggsy, who says she will not leave her footballer. It’s odd that a woman whose husband allegedly wanted to keep the story of his alleged infidelity out of the papers should talk to the Mirror?

The paper reports:

Just days before he and his Man United teammates take on Barcelona in the Champions League final, heartbroken Stacey Cooke told him: “Go out there and play the game of your life.

Well, if the tabloids say that’s what she said in private to her taciturn, privacy-seeking husband, that’s what she said, right?

The Mail has more facts.

The confession [ of his alleged affair], made nearly two weeks ago at their enormous mock-Tudor mansion outside Manchester, must have been painful to make and worse still to hear.

The paper is unsure what room Ryan confessed all to Stacey in, and rightly refuses to speculate.

Over in the Sun, the front page yells:

“IMOGEN CALLS IN COPS OVER DEATH THREATS”

You’ve to feel for the Sun, now stuck with sticking the D-list reality TV strumpet on its front page day after day to hammer home the point of how it was right. With Giggs not talking, and Stacey only talking to the Mirror, the Sun is left with the talentless Thomas. The talk is that a few idiots on Twitter have made threats to Our Imogen:

Imogen told a friend: “I fear my life is in danger. I had to get police involved now they’re threatening my nephew. He’s the most important thing in my life.”

Yep, the story that was about Giggs trying to protect his kidzzz, is now about Imogen Thomas trying to protect hers. You can’t see the story through the PR fog.
