Amy Winehouse Goes Back To Rehab – Again
REMEMBER the days when Amy Winehouse was famous for being a reasonably exciting singer? Alas, since then, she’s disappeared down a booze hole, leaving her career wide open for lesser acts to cash-in on. We’re looking at you Paloma Faith. And you Adele.
Yep, Winehouse only ever appears on the radar when she’s fallen over after a skinful or, briefly, re-emerged with some hilarious new breasts that looked like floating liquid in a space shuttle.
And now she’s in the news again and, predictably, it isn’t with talk of a new record, but rather, she’s off to rehab again.
The former singer checked into a clinic on Wednesday to try and rid her of booze (which probably makes up 92% of her blood these days) and apparently, she had a few on the way there, which is really classy.
According to ‘a pal’ (yeah, one of those ‘pals’), Winehouse necked a miniature bottle of vodka on her way to the clinic ‘in typical Amy style.’
A statement read:
She “has embarked on a treatment program at the Priory Clinic. She wants to be ready for performances in Europe this summer and decided to seek an assessment. She will remain at the Priory on doctors’ advice”
A source adds:
“Her dad sat her down and said ‘I think you’re drinking too much again.’ So she agreed to go an assessment to stop it becoming a bigger problem.”
She has a whole series of gigs planned for the summer and, well, the chances of her making them seem slim at the minute. Have a look at the refund policy first if you’re thinking of going.
