Alternative Olympic Sports: Cheese-Rolling On Coopers Hill With British Legend Chris Anderson

IN Anorak’s occasional look at the Alternative Olympic Sports, we salute Chris Anderson, 23, from Brockworth, who has won all three races in the Cheese Rolling on Coopers Hill, Gloucestershire . The official event was cancelled. But Chris has no truck with the Federation of Cheese Rollers, the IOC, Fifa and those arcane and mysterious systems of rules and rites – he just wants to throw himself down a steep hill in pursuit of a round hard cheese. He is the sporting purist. Anorak also salutes Wolverhampton’s Jo Guest who at just 14 won the women’s race…
