One Legged Man Leaves Trail Of Footprint At Scene Of Crime

by | 10th, June 2011

DAVID Phillips is the one-legged burglar caught after leaving tell-tale trail of solitary footprints from the crime scene. Phillips has one full leg and one leg that does not extend below the knee. He uses crutches to walk with.

In Perth Sheriff Court, Phillips is found guilty of stealing computers and jewellery in a series of raids.

A police source says:

“It was not the hardest series of crimes to solve as he cuts a pretty distinctive figure with one leg. By the time he left a trail in the mud, even Inspector Clouseau might have managed to collar him.”

Phillips, 44, is jailed for 40 months.

In defence, his brief John McLaughlin, tells the court:

“He is hoping a prosthetic leg will be available soon which will enable him to lead a more active life.”

And so long as he remembers to put the official size 57 flipper on the end of it, the villain will surely evade detection should he ever stray again…
