IS this the greatest local news story ever? Possibly. The Dorset Echo reports:
Thieves steal machine from Weymouth fundraising shop
STAFF at a Weymouth fundraising shop are saddened – and slightly puzzled – after a gang of thieves stole an industrial machine from outside their front door.
That was May 24, 2011. Dorset was rocked. Then on May 25, 2011, the Dorset Echo reported:
Embarrassed Weymouth boss finds iron was sold
Now Mr Lambert, pictured right, has discovered that one of his team actually sold the iron to a customer without his knowledge.
In next week’s paper, locals complains that at night, he can’t see the sun…
