John Bennell Was On Bail For Burglary When He Was Stabbed To Death By A Homeowner In Salford

JOHN Bennell – the alleged intruder stabbed to death in Salford – was on bail for burglary.

Earlier this month, Mr Bennell, from Hyde, was arrested in Tamworth by Staffordshire Police on suspicion of burglary. He was kept in custody overnight but released on bail pending further inquiries.

And with that story got even bigger…

Neil Flanagan, 27, and a 21-year-old woman – believed to be his girlfriend – have been released by police. Peter Flanagan remains in police custody.
