Roland Bunce Wins Modelling Contest
ROLAND Bunce is the winner of high street fashion outlet Next’s search for a model. He is the Next Model. Roland Bunce, 24, from Belfast, scooped 66,000 FAcebook Likes – the chap in second place scored 89 votes.
The winner gets £2,000 Next vouchers, a photoshoot and an introduction to a modelling agency.
But Bunce cannot claim his prize because he and the top 250 entrants – and that includes the couple of hundred agonists who voted for themselves – will go before an “expert” panel who will select the top 50 for the next round. This will continue until Next gets the person it wants.
Of course, the joke is that Bunce looks pretty much like the identikit British shopper. Forget models. Next should just take photos of shoppers wearing its gear…
