Rio Ferdinand’s Alleged Women: Manchester United’s Player’s First XI In Photos

by | 7th, July 2011

RIO Ferdinand, the Manchester United and England star – a married father of three (Lorenz, Tate and Tia) – has “11 SEXY BABES”. The Daily Star has news on its front page of Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney’s teammate. The paper labels him a “LOVE CHEAT”.

We learn:

Rio Ferdinand’s serial cheating was laid bare yesterday when 10 alleged conquests were named in court. Rio Ferdinand’s list of shame, which includes four models and a stripper, was revealed at the High Court during the Manchester United star’s privacy trial.

Only four models? And, no, not at once on a water bed?! Former Manchester United great George Best might have wept.

Ferdinand, husband to Rebecca Ellison, is suing Mirror Group Newspapers for publishing a story in the Sunday Mirror about an alleged affair with one Carly Storey that lasted 13 years. The story was headlined “Rio’s Dirty Secret”. It appeared in the newspaper on April 25 last year. Ferdinand’s legal team says the story was based on the misuse of private information. The Mirror Group argues that it was in the public interest.

The Star sums up the case thus:

Married dad-of-three Rio, 32, is seeking aggravated damages over allegations in a Sunday newspaper that he accepted the England captaincy from shamed John Terry despite having a mistress himself.

Married family man Terry was stripped of the captaincy in disgrace following his alleged extramarital affair with team-mate Wayne Bridge’s ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel.

Ferdinand tells the court:

“I was extremely upset to read the story – I view it as a gross invasion of my privacy and extremely damaging to my private life. People started shouting things out at me in the street.”

Things like: “Where’s your new bird?”

Ferdinand’s lawyer, Hugh Tomlinson QC, tells the court:

“If the debate is supposed to be over the issue: should the England football captain be an upstanding figure along the lines of the great men of yesteryear – Bobby Moore and Billy Wright… then it is clear Mr Ferdinand isn’t a man of a spotless past. It’s well known. By far the most important question mark over his captaincy relates to his failure to attend a drugs test…There are men in blazers…who think England football captains should have the morality of bishops and be moral exemplars to the young.”

Well, no. It’s not the men who have altered – it’s the prevailing culture. Moore was no angel. The press were just on his side. Might they also be on Ferdinand’s side? The timing of the Mirror’s story comes towards the end of Rio’s career. Says he:

“It has been stressful and embarrassing for me to have to explain to fellow professionals as well as family members and friends and it has inevitably put a strain on my relationship with my wife. The article made it out like it was referring to events that only happened yesterday, but in fact I had not met this girl for six years by the time it was published. It was stressful and very uncomfortable for me to have to do things like collect my kids from school , knowing that other parents there may have read the article and not realised that it was essentially a very old story.”

Ferdinand met future wife Rebecca Ellison in 2000 and married her in 2009. It is alleged that he has cheated on her with various women.

So. Who are the ladies we can feature? They are, allegedly – and the Star thoughtfully list their jobs:

Pop Idol finalist Sarah Whatmore
Brazilian model Tatiane Rosalino
Beauty therapist Cathrine Shepherd and Savannah Benson in a “drunken orgy” in 2000. That was filmed in Ayia Napa, Cyprus
Israeli model Lilach Yafe
Stripper Coralie Robinson
Israeli model, Tslil Sela.
Lauren Alcorn, 29
Former Daily Star Page 3 girl Holly McGuire
Virgin Airways stewardess Lauren revealed in 2006 how she received £7,500 from Rio to have an abortion.
Interior designer Carly Storey who made her claims in the Sunday Mirror in April

The 11th babe the Star leads with is Rio’s wife.

Did Storey kiss and tell?

“Kissing and telling” was not the interior designer’s aim when she gave her account of the 13-year relationship, for which she was paid £16,000 by the Sunday Mirror, said Gavin Millar QC. He added: “For over a decade, she has kept these experiences to herself whilst the claimant has in the meantime liberally placed a mass of information about his own life in the public domain for substantial commercial and personal gain.”

He added: “Telling her side of the story was perceived by Ms Storey to be an important part of her emotional development and personal autonomy. It has helped her to move on and recover from the relationship. What says the Mirror:

What else?

Gavin Millar, the lawyer fighting Rio’s claim for damages, accused him of playing a “dangerous game”… Mr Millar highlighted a 2006 interview after the birth of Rio’s first son. He was quoted as saying: “I have strayed in the past, but I’m going to be a family man now… no more messing around with other women.”

Mr Millar said Ferdinand was happy to talk about his private life when it suited him, but should not be allowed to “have his cake and eat it”.

Anorak recalls another moment from Ferndinand’s past:

The press release for Ferdinand’s role in a film called Dead Man Running declares him a “role model“. He is quoted thus:

“You’ve got to use your position to say something. I still believe to this day if I hadn’t been a footballer, I’d have been a youth worker.”

The case continues:
