Amy Winehouse: A Video Tribute To The Woman Ruined By Others
AURORA Bankhead heads to Camden to see Amy Winehouse’s tribute.
We have a question: Who who ruined Amy Winehouse?
Who turned a talented woman into a drug-addled mess to be patronsied by self-aggrandizing celebrities adopting her fame as their own?

the question was “Who ruined Amy Winehouse?” and unfortunately, the answer to that is – herself. She was no doubt influenced by the human equivalent of effluent along the way, but she had more choices and opportunities than most in her addictive state to do something about it – she chose not to.

Oh good, an arsehole list:
1. Blake Fielder-Civil, ex-husband of Amy Currently in Armley Jail Leeds and not allowed compassionate leave to attend today’s funeral. Would probably be stoned in seconds and assault Amy’s father, Now completing a 32 month sentence for firearms and burglary offences. He bragged of introducing Amy to hard drugs and the dysfunctional marriage included episodes of Amy assaulting Blake. The Fielder-Civil entry in Wikipedia makes interesting reading. Waste of oxygen.
2. Pete Doherty, Kate Moss’s ex who was, allegedly, one of Amy’s prime pusher/suppliers.
A crap head who should be lushed (sic) down the first available pan. Beyond help or sympathy. It would be easy to comment beyond parody but the 32-year-old does not have one redeeming feature.
3. Amy’s family haven’t helped despite trying.
4. Amy Winehouse. If she had not been a self-harming troubled, wilful, headstrong and licentious young woman would she have left the music legacy she has?
A clean drug-free Amy would not have written much of her work.
Perhaps she felt she had done and seen enough. Even when you are out of your head cat-calls and booing from fans cut deep.
Dying for art’s sake is sometimes a literal act…even if makes the victim seem a stupid git in the process.
Lou Reed still survives and had already written and performed the one suitable eulogy for Amy Winehouse – eleven years before she was born.
Amy: Thank you for the time you did stay.
Finally: 5. Those who were close enough to help but did so only as long as the dripping roast fed their egos and pockets.
