Shrien Dewani: Rani Kansagra, The German Master And Xolile Mngeni’s Tumour

by | 7th, August 2011

RANI Kansagra is the former lover to Shrien Dewani, the British man accused of having his new wife Anni Dewani killed on their honeymoon to South Africa. The Mail repots that she has told police that Mr Dewani told her that he was impotent.

You may recall the name of The German Master, a mall prostitute form Munich who claims Mr Dewani hired him for good times. Mr Dewani denies this. He say he is innocent.

The Mirror writes:

Police are already investigating whether the care homes boss, 31, was secretly gay. Miss Kansagra, who lives with her parents in Northwood, Middlesex, has repeatedly refused to comment about her relationship with Dewani.

A family spokesman said on his behalf: “Shrien denies these allegations, but because there are ongoing legal proceedings it would be inappropriate to comment further.”

Miss Kanagra has been in the news before. Back in 2010, we learnt:

Mr Dewani’s first fiancée was Rani Kansagra, now 26, a British Asian, whose father, Bhupendra “Bhulo” Kansagra, has links to Kenya. Miss Kansagra works in London and lives in Middlesex. She met Mr Dewani in 2008 and they became engaged after a couple of months. They held a small celebratory party in December, inviting their closest friends and family.

However, in February 2009, the relationship fell apart and Mr Dewani, from Westbury-on-Trym, brought it to an end. “Their personalities just didn’t work out,” said a source. “They knew each other only relatively shortly. Perhaps that didn’t help.” A relative of Miss Kansagra who attended the engagement party said Mr Kansagra had tried to intervene to make the relationship work. “It was a bit surprising how quickly it happened and then ended,” they said. “Of course he tried to talk to Shrien, but there was no going back, he had made up his mind. I think it was just one of those things that was not to be.” They have not seen each other since.

Conspiracy theorists may be interested in this:

ONE of the alleged hitmen in the Anni Dewani murder case may die soon as he is critically ill with a brain tumour, which has spread to the lining of his spinal cord. This is according to medical reports, detailing accused Xolile Mngeni’s medical condition, handed in to the Wynberg Regional Court yesterday. Mngeni was supposed to have appeared in the dock with the second man alleged to have been a hitman in the case, Mziwamadoda Qwabe, but Qwabe appeared alone as Mngeni was not well enough to appear during formal court procedures.

He was kept in the court’s holding cells.

Zola Robert Tongo has already pleased guilty to murder.
