Manchester United Are The Goods Guys As The Sun Says It’s OK To Hate Manchester City

by | 8th, August 2011

BECAUSE it now obligatory to hate Manchester City and tell them how to run their club and business, the Sun’s Steven Howard mangoes to watch the community shield and declare:

“This was a result to make football itself stand up and cheer. And not just because the Bad Guys got a punch on the nose from the Good Guys. This was also a victory for the vibrancy of youth. And for the way teams and clubs should be built.”

Manchester United, the biggest club in the UK – the one teetering on a massive debt pile – are the Good Guys? This is how a club should be built says Howard:

David de Gea: £17million
Chris Smalling: £12million
Rio Ferdinand: £30million
Ashley Young: £17m
Nemanja Vidic: £8million
Nani: £17million
Phil Jones: £17m
Anderson: £20m
Wayne Rooney: £27m
Dimitar Berbatov: £31m
Patrice Evra: £5.5m
Michael Carrick: £19m

Yayyyyy!
