The Daily Express’ Deadly Heat Wave Is Over: Records Show Cold Summer

THE Met Office says the UK’s average temperature from June 1 to August 15 was 13.9c. That’s the the lowest in 13 years.

Says the Met Office’s Helen Waite:

“The average temperature for central England this summer has been just 15c. This sort of temperature is normally typical of September.”

Anyone reading the Daily Express may be surprised that the doom and heat never arrived:

With highs of up to 92F between London and Cambridge and 75F in the North, Netweather forecaster Paul Michaelwhite said the “conditions are likely to support organised and severe storms with large-sized hail, gusting winds to 70mph or more, torrential rain and tornados. People will have images of huge tornados in the USA, but we get smaller ones here, although they can still cause damage, as we have seen in recent years. – June 27

BAKING Britain is set to reach a scorching 90F(32C) today – and that will be just the start of a predicted, two-week heatwave. – August 2
