Bolton Wanderers Cash In On Gary Cahill – Spurs And Arsenal Finally Get To Laugh

by | 5th, September 2011

GARY Cahill is playing well for England and Bolton. He says he craves Champions League football. And after he signs forms in January for a free end of season transfer to Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea or Liverpool, he will get it. But what do his Bolton teammates think of it all?

Well, the Daily Mirror produces the most misleading headline of the week, as it declares:

“Petrov amazed Cahill’s still at Bolton.”

Why’s that then? Well, Martin Petrov actually says:

“Am I surprised he is still at Bolton? That is not a question for me.”

But it is one for Mirror readers, apparently.

Mirror writer David Anderson then puts the tin lid on his story by declaring:

The winger is delighted Cahill remained at the Reebok, but fears the club will inevitably cash in on him.

Cash in. As in Bolton selling the want away player now in the final year of his contract, having knocked back an offer for £10million from Spurs?

As Bolton chairman Phil Gartside might put it… F*ck off
