Demand For Gingers’ Sperm Set To Rocket Due To The Prince Harry Effect

by | 18th, September 2011

CRYOS, the world’s largest sperm bank, is rejecting redheads. There just isn’t the demand. We call this the Prince Harry Effect – why buy when you an just wait?

Ole Schou, Cryos’s director, tells Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet.

“There are too many redheads in relation to demand. I do not think you chose a redhead, unless the partner – for example, the sterile male – has red hair, or because the lone woman has a preference for redheads. And that’s perhaps not so many, especially in the latter case.”

However, gingers’ sperm sells like “hot cakes” in Ireland.

It boils down to people wanting to replicate their own look in their progeny. We learn that the most in-demand sperm and those with brown hair and brown eyes, like people in Italy, Greece and Spain, where demand is high.

This suggests that people using sperm from another source want their children to look like them. So. Might it be that demand for red-haired sperm is low because only 2% of the world is flame haired?

But to the Mail this is evidence that gingers are not wanted:

Mystery: Some people simply don’t find redheads attractive

David Scholefield then makes up this bollocks:

The Danes do not want any red-headed kids. Despite their reputation for tall blondes,  hey’d rather have small, dark children.

No. They would not.

And as for carrot tops, grill-heads, gingers, ginger nuts, ginger mingers and Duracells being unattractive, we feel a need to fight their corner:
