X Factor: Tulisa Wages Class War Against Other Toffs Like Shane McGowan

by | 27th, September 2011

“X FACTOR Tulisa Dumps Toffs.”

So says the Daily Star’s front-page-headline. Sad it is when the Official Big Brother Newspaper opts to lead with the X Factor.

TULISA Contostavlos has axed the X Factor band favourites because they are too posh.

Too posh for what?

The N-Dubz star was accused last night of waging a class war after kicking out Chasing Keys. They were chopped after she discovered most of them went to one of the most exclusive public schools in the country.

(They went to St Albans Boys’ School, Herts.)

Isn’t that bigoted? And foolish given that these fine folks went to fee-paying schools:

Shane McGowan: Westminster
Matt Cardle: Stoke College
Mumford & Sons: King’s College School in Wimbledon,
Florence Welch: Alleyn’s School
Radiohead: Abingdon School
Chris Martin: Sherborne School
James Blunt: Harrow
Gavin Rossdale: Bush
Lily Allen: Bedales
Genesis: Charterhouse School
Simon Cowell: Dover College

The Star ads:

One source said last night: “There’s a feeling she went for Chasing Keys because of their background, not because of their voices. They were nice boys from nice families in the Home Counties and she found it hard to relate to that.”

This is Tulisa who when growing up wanted for nothing?
