Woman Called Godsgift Jailed For Bigamy In Lincoln

by | 4th, October 2011

GODSGIFT Tettegah was married to two men when she targeted John Thurlby. She wanted his hand in marriage and his money. She got both, finally conning him out of £200,000.

Thurlby, 61,  met Godsgift, 35, in 2007. Godsgift Tettegah married Thulby in July 2008.

Only, Godsgift, of The Belfry, Grantham, Lincs, was also married to British man Roger Long, and a man in her native Ghana.

At Lincoln Crown Court, Judge Michael Heath tells Tettegah:

“You are a strikingly attractive but very devious woman. Any man who becomes personally involved in you does so at his peril.’’

She admitted bigamy and perverting the course of justice by writing to magistrates aiming to discredit Mr Thurlby and get the case thrown out. She was jailed for 16 months.

Lincoln’s loss is prison’s gain…
