Who Killed Gaddafi And Buried The Truth About Lockerbie? The Sun Kills Justice For The 270

COLONEL Gaddafi is dead – killed by his own countrymen. Murdered by the mob. The British press react.

The Daily Mirror leads with news that he begged for his life. We don’t know this. All we know is that the rebels tells us:

The cowardly dictator screamed “don’t shoot, don’t shoot” as rebels finally closed in to end his 42-year reign of brutality, mayhem and murder once and for all. But 69-year-old Mad Dog’s pleas fell on deaf ears and the seething Libyan gunmen dragged him from the pipe, battered him senseless then executed him with shots to his legs and head at 8.30am.

Had Gaddafi stood up straight and tall and declared in a cut-glass accent words along the lines of “Hurrah for anarchy! This is the happiest moment of my life” or “There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is God’s messenger” or “Take a step forward, lads. It will be easier that way” would the rebels have relayed his message to the world?

The Belfast Telegraph describes Gaddafi as the “man who brought murder to our streets“. Gaddafi was a friend to the IRA, supplying them with weapons.

But then the Sun get is utterly wrong. In a race to put a tin lid on history and patronise his British victims, the paper yells:

“That’s for Lockerbie. And for Yvonne Fletcher. And for IRA victims.”

Yep, you just know all three cause were high on the rebels minds when they killed their enemy, shooting him in the legs, as the Mirror says, or in the head, as the Sun states.

The Sun is pathetically wrong.

The death of Gaddafi is not justice for the 270 victims of the Lockerbie horror. They did not all screams for bloody vengeance. The Sun sullies their desires with more blood…more murder. It was not justice for Yvonne Fletcher. Musa Kusa, Gaddafi’s lead henchman, is in the UK, a free man. Gaddafi’s death does not let the IRA go free.

The Huffington Post catches up with the relatives of Susan Cohen, who was murdered when Pam Am Flight 103 was blown out of the sky:

“This was sort of like Dracula: Is Dracula really dead?” said Cohen, of Cape May Court House, N.J. “It’s great now that we know. I didn’t want him to go to a trial. When you have a tyrant, a monster like him, we’re all better off with him dead. Now there can be no illusion of him ever returning to power.”

So. Gaddafi did it, right. He ordered the mass murder, right? It wasn’t the Syrians or the Iranians? Gaddafi was not the patsy who took the hit. This is why the British let the one man convicted of mass murder go – and Abdelbaset Al Megrahi is still alive.

Can we ask Gaddafi to reveal all? No. He’s dead. He was shot dead by his own side. No questions. No last minute confessions or explanations. No truth drummed out of him in court, an event that would have lacked all the polemic and danger of placing Osama bin Laden in the dock. Gaddafi was loathed by many more than loved him. Just bang bang. We see the body because we ned to. The end is writ large.

And, of course, it was the rebels that killed him, not a man with a Herefordshire accent wearing the blade of the SAS. The rebels got him. This was their victory and theirs alone. Well, so current newspaper history says…
