Pregnant Bride Discovers Lover Is Her Brother
HAVING dated for five years, the couple known by the aliases Jabu Ngomane and Thulisile Mhlabane, prepared for the birth of their first child. Only, when the South African lovers entered into lobola negotiations, they found that they had been engaing in Motherwell Discussions… Jabu and Thulisile are brother and sister.
Dad Alfred Ngomane left their mum in 1983. His son was 2 years old and his daughter aged just 8 months. He raised Jabur in Madras village in Bushbuckridge. The mother raised the girl in Pienaar, outside Nelspruit. Neither child was told they had a sibling.
And then the children met.
Says Thulisile:
“It was love at first sight. We were studying together at Tshwane University of Technology in Nelspruit. When I first saw him, we connected. We fell in love and since that day, we never looked back. All we wanted to do was just to have a family and many kids.”
They then met the folks, who revealed the unfortunate truth:
“So you can imagine how shocked we were when they broke the news. We are going to have a child together. We do not know what we will tell him when he grows up.”
Do what you parents did: tell him nothing – and take him swimming; he should be good at it…
