Kirklees Council Says Mats It Gave Tenants Are Illegal

HATS off to Kirklees Council for placing mat outside people’s flats then sending out dire warnings that unless said mats are removed their new owners will be in breach of health and safety guidelines. Those mats are a fire hazard.
Kirklees Council would like to remind mat owners that the mats given to them by Kirkless Council place them in breach of tenancy agreements with Kirklees Council.
A council spekperson says:
“We are very sorry if the letters about removing door mats from Albion Court have caused upset or confusion. However, we hope tenants understand that we need to do what we can to keep everyone safe.”
Safe from whom?
