Yorkshire Man Buys iPad Shaped Like A Cold Potato

by | 11th, November 2011

ANYONE buying iPads on the streets of Batley are reminded that they do NOT look like potatoes – not even hot potatoes nor potato chips.
The news comes too late for one man who on October 24 handed over £200 when he paid for an i-pad that turned out to be – you guessed it – a bag of potatoes.

The iSpud seller is described as a “chubby white man in his forties who had dark blonde hair and an Irish accent”.
Says PC Teresa McCarter of the Batley NPT:

“It should be common sense to check that you are getting what you pay for but, as a similar incident to this one in Birstall took place in the summer, we are warning people to be wary of accepting deals that seem to be too good to be true.”

You might wonder where PC McCArter has been. Everything about apple gadgets is too good to be true. The only people to have benefitted from them are Steve Jobs and his apple co. shareholders and geeks who now believe their computer makes them less like a nerd…
