Pregnant Woman Jennifer Fox Loses Baby After Altercation With Police ‘Food’ At Occupy Seattle

by | 22nd, November 2011

ACROSS the world, there’s been a myriad of protests under the Occupy banner. In Seattle, things have taken a rather dark turn of events.

One woman who was pepper-sprayed by Seattle police claims that, as a result of their actions, she has miscarried and lost her baby.

Talking to The Stranger, Jennifer Fox says:

“I was standing in the middle of the crowd when the police started moving in. I was screaming, ‘I am pregnant, I am pregnant. Let me through. I am trying to get out.'”

Then, it’s alleged that it was at this point a Seattle police officer lifted his foot and it hit her in the stomach and another officer pushed his bicycle into the crowd, again hitting Fox in the stomach.

She adds:

“Right before I turned, both cops lifted their pepper spray and sprayed me. My eyes puffed up and my eyes swelled shut”

There’s a video of the aftermath which you can see here. After this event, Fox says she felt fine, but then, she began to feel nauseous. After seeing a doctor, it was apparently discovered that her baby had no heartbeat.

“They said the damage was from the kick and that the pepper spray got to it [the foetus], too.”

In light of this, it seems a little crass that Fox News decided to say that pepper spray is little more than ‘a foodstuff’ in their report looking at the Occupy movement. Watch the clip from the Bill O’Reilly show below.
