Frosty The Snowman Is Scaring Kids In Vancouver

by | 2nd, December 2011

“HE scared a little girl,” said one caller. “There’s somebody walking around with a mask,” said another.
Says Christina Squires:
“I thought he was there to rob me. He picked up the candy cane to show me it wasn’t a weapon.”
Is it a man wearing the head of an inflatable snowman and holding a massive candy cane with a hook on one end, possibly to better snare kids with? Or is it Frosty the Snowman, a massive dead-eyed, heartless, walking tower of ice with a carrot nose and rictus grin? C’mon, kids. Think fast. Will mums and dad cheers and clap, or will they beat Frosty to death with his Kiddie Grabber?
Calls are arriving at the police depot. But Chief William Turner says he has “more important” things to work on, adding that he was investigating separate cases, including a rape.
Stop press. It’s not Frosty, well, not unless Frosty is Jeffery Acker, who tells media:

“Christmas is everything to me. I love it. It was never an intention to be scary.”

Just like Santa Claus isn’t meant to be scary. But if you’re not afraid of a drunk old man in your bedroom, you should be:
