Buried Alive: Michelina Lewandowska’s Cardboard Coffin And The Diamond Ring That Freed Her (Photos)

THIS is the cardboard ‘coffin’ Michelina Lewandowska, 27, says her lover Marcin Kasprzak, 25, stuck her into, having Tasered her unconscious and bound her legs and mouth.

He drove her to woods in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, and attempted to bury her alive. But did he try to kill her? The jury will decide.

At Leeds Crown Court, Miss Lewandowska told the court:

“I am sure that he was going to kill me.”

Julian Goose QC, for Kasprzak, contests this. He say the holes in the box were proof his client did not mean to kill her.

She replied:

“I can tell you now that they were not left specially or intentionally for me to live.”

Mr Goose added

“We accept what happened to you that day, that night, was very frightening. You were made to feel very scared and we don’t dispute that a Taser was used on you, that your wrists and your ankles were taped and, at times, there was tape to your mouth. We don’t dispute either that you were put into that box and that you were taken to that scene. Let me be clear. We say that the intention was to scare you – to frighten you off, leaving Jakub behind. And it was not with the intention to kill you.”

She used her engagement ring to cut herself free of the binds and the box. It’s a diamond and gold ring. No zircon. Argos jewellery might not be up to the job., even in wet cardboard. This may have been where Kasprzak went wrong?

“At first I only took out my hand, being afraid that Marcin could hit me with the spade. Then I took out my whole arm to the elbow. I started to feel about – to feel what was on the box.”

The trial was adjourned until Friday.
