Marina Shnip killed her baby with breast milk

TO the Novgorod region of Russia, where 30-year-old Marina Shnip has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years prison for being drunk whilst breastfeeding her two-week old son.
Marina Shnip had scarfed a drunk about a litre of port. Her son died from poisoning.
Marina Schnip’s blood contained 2 – 2.5 percent ethanol; her son’s blood was 0.4 percent ethanol.
It’s a remarkably grim story.
