Stolen ET washes up on Hampshire beach

by | 3rd, January 2012

E.T. has come home. Back in September 2011, the Extra Terrestrial was stolen in a raid on Margaret Wells’ Portsmouth home. E.T  had been made by her daughter Louise as part of a 2002 make-up course.  Mrs Wells told The Portsmouth News :

“My daughter was offered £2,000 for it but she didn’t want to sell it – it’s the only one she made.”

Her granddaughter Tia, four, tugged at heartstrings:

“I loved him. He’s got big eyes and little feet. At night he comes to life.”

PC Steve Bourne announced:

‘The E.T. is obviously a very unusual item to be stolen. Anyone who may have come across the E.T. model or is offered it for sale is asked to contact us.”

Tapping into the black market in massive fictional aliens proved a tough nut to crack. But then E.T. came home.
