Evangelina Paredes sues Cop Chris Collins for asking her on a date

EVANGELINA Paredes says Chicago policeman Chris Collins gave her speeding ticket ($132) and then tracked her down to ask her on a date. In the films, this would be a romantic moment. In real life America it is just a chance to get cash. Evangelina Paredes is suing Chris Collins for violating her privacy.

She says that after Collins issued her with a ticket on October 22, he searched for her address in the motor-vehicle database. He then found her car parked outside her home and left a note on the windshield.

Wrote 27-year-old Chris Collins:

“It’s Chris … that ugly bald Stickney cop who gave you that ticket. … I know this may seem crazy and you’re probably right, but truth is I have not stopped thinking about you since. I don’t expect a girl as attractive as you to … even go for a guy like me, but I’m taking a shot anyways.”

Go on:

“I did cost you $132 – least I can do is buy you dinner.”

Paredes read the note and, as she claims, “suffered great fear and anxiety”. She wants damages for her pain. She says Collins used his badge to “manipulate” her into a date.

Collins has not commented. But every pixelated traffic sign in Chicago now says “For F**k Sake”.
