Sunderland Echo remembers breast implant horror is just about tits

CAN a saucy pun be made over the horror of women being given Poly Implant Prothese breast implants filled with illegal silicon? Katy Wheeler and the Sunderland Echo have a bash. The headline thunders:

Sunderland mum’s ‘get them out’ plea over burst boob-job implant

Writes Alan White: Whatever sub-editors the Sunderland Echo has not made redundant must have been sick to the front teeth when this one got in; I claim the Anorak £5 headline boob of the day prize.

Katy Wheeler reports:

A MUM-OF-FOUR faces major surgery after her controversial breast implant ruptured and leaked silicone into her body. Sharon Adams, 38, also fears the faulty PIP implant may have caused the onset of an aggressive form of the debilitating condition, rheumatoid arthritis.

Still, If you can make a joke out if, no harm done…

European health authorities have issued widely different recommendations in dealing with potentially faulty French-made breast implants, with Germany and the Czech Republic following France in recommending their removal, while Britain insisted there isn’t enough evidence to suggest they should be taken out in all cases.
