Gabby Giffords steps down one year after Jared Loughner shot her (video)

GABRIELLE Giffords, the Arizona US Congresswoman shot in the head by Jared Lee Loughner in Tuscon, is to step down from her elected post.
She barely survived the shooting.
Gabby Giffords made the announcement in a YouTube video posted yesterday afternoon. Says Giffords:
“I don’t remember much from that horrible day, but I will never forget the trust you placed in me to be your voice. I will return, and we will work together for Arizona and this great country.”
The video is sentimental and advertrorial in style. You half expert Giffords to endorse a medical centre. But there is no doubting that Gabrielle Giffords is a woman of substance:
