THE Belfast Peace Walls in photos: Northern Ireland’s capital city has 99 peace walls. They divide loyalist Protestants from nationalist Catholics. The largest peace wall in Belfast is at Cupar Way, which separates the Catholic Falls area and the Protestant Shankill area of the city. There’s a new £2 million fund aimed at bringing down Northern Ireland’s peace walls by building confidence between divided communities. Open the gates of build higher walls?
