FRANK Carson RIP. You were the funniest thing to come out of Belfast since the man who dubbed Gerry Adams’ voice on the BBC. “It’s the way I tell ’em,” and “It’s a cracker!” Those were your catchphrases. Said Carson’s friend Eddie McIlwaine: “He met the present Pope (Benedict XVI) and the Pope said ‘Did you ever meet Elvis Presley?’ Frank said ‘No, I have not, but it won’t be long now’.”
