Man throws woman on Tube track at Leicester Square – video

by | 25th, February 2012

WHO is the man filmed throwing a 23-year-old woman onto the Tube tracks at Leicester Square Station on September 16, 2011? A man, who may be the woman’s boyfriend, grab’s her attacker. Others haul the woman to safety. The man escapes. The woman goes to hospital. She is ok – just a wound on her side.

The film has been passed to the BBC, and forms a segment of their documentary The Tube.

British Transport Police Detective Sergeant Fin Egan, says:

“This was a dangerous and reckless act which could have had grave consequences had a Tube train been approaching. The platform was busy at that time on Friday night and I am appealing for anyone who recognises the man in the images or who witnessed the incident to get in contact.”

Who is he. And why is the film being made now, as the Olympics approach?
