Peter Andre’s cancer ‘n’ tell

by | 29th, February 2012

PETER Andre’s brother has cancer. So. There will be no more said about it. It’s a private time for his brother. Which leads us to the OK! front-page headline:

“Peter Andre’s bedside vigil – ‘this cancer has torn me apart’ – The distraught star speaks only to OK! about the life-threatening illness.”

It is nothing short of a “World exclusive”. It’s a cancer ‘n’ tell.

On page 76, we see Peter and his kidzzzzz in a swimming pool. Princess, we learn, is wearing a swimsuit by Alex and Alexa. (The pictures are from an older shoot.) Peter is wearing a wide-mouthed grin. OK! is wearing an expression of great concern:

Peter Andre is devastated. When he called OK! this week, the the distraught star was golfing a bedside vigil for his older brother.

He called from the bedside of Andrew, who at age 54 has kidney cancer? OK! then asks questions:

“This week has torn me apart,” says Pete. “I’ve had to see my brother lie there with all sorts of medication and sleeping for hours on end. “

These have been the “most important two weeks of my life”.

Has Peter told the kidzzzzz? Yes, Peter has told them that uncle Andrew is “poorly“. (Can Princess TenaladyMee and Junior Pete read yet?)

OK!: “Are you now thinking differently, having been through what you have this week?”

To recap: Peter Andre does not have cancer. His 54-year-old brother does, and he’s just had an operation.

Peter: “I have had some things happen to me in the last few months that change me. I have to focus on the future and my family…”

It’s pretty clear that what happens to other people is newsworthy because it affects Peter Andre. He recalls a trip to a medical centre in Zanzibar where “two babies died in front of me”. He says that seeing the suffering “changed my whole outlook on life”.

OK! then recalls Peter’s kidney stones, Pete’s meningitis and Peter’s panic attacks. He’s never had cancer. But he knows someone who has…
